.Bunch of hypocrites
The Democrats are for defunding the police, and for taking the weapons of good citizens away. I have a better idea. People who have weapons legally, how about selling your weapons to the police department so they can use those weapons to fight the bad guys. It’s called recycling, Democrats. I bet the Democratic politicians have police protections. What a surprise. What a bunch of hypocrites.
Not as dire as predicted?
Record-breaking drought, record floods in other parts of the country and world, record heat waves. Naming of hurricanes needing the Greek alphabet because of the greater frequency of such storms. The Southeast is the new tornado alley every spring. Yet conservative columnist Cal Thomas can actually write the words that the effects of climate change aren’t as dire as predicted. Really? Does the water have to be up to your chin before you wake up. Conservatives would rather destroy the planet than admit their failures.
Everyone pay their fair share
Re: “Dealing with Olympic-sized debt problem” by The Heritage Foundation. I don’t know where these people are coming from. In 2017, they went along with doing the federal tax cuts for the rich, which never trickled down for the rest of us. And the Fed percentage for the interest rate? Trump was behind that so that his Wall Street would look better. Wall Street does not make Main Street look better. Why are the Republicans in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives so against hiring more IRS agents to go after the rich, and to go after people who are not paying taxes? If everybody paid their fair share, we wouldn’t be in a hole like we are, and the Republicans touting the debt that the Democrats are raising. If everybody paid their fair share, we wouldn’t be in this hole.
Impeach Biden
People that believe in this country need to start demanding that we impeach Biden and his internal administration. These folks on the far left are the enemies within this country, and they’re ruining this country. We will not recognize this country as it once was. We need to impeach this guy. Get him off his stoop and get rid of Kamala Harris. We need to get rid of this administration. They have totally corrupted this country.
Murderous thugs
I would like to sincerely thank and express deep gratitude to the local and federal task force for its investigation into a Lake County street gang named Satan Disciple, ending with charges against 10 people on drug trafficking and weapons felonies, along with stopping two planned drive-by shootings planned by these murderous thugs. How many countless lives that would have been impacted by these activities have been saved the heartbreak and despair caused by those who live to harm us, whether randomly or planned. Anybody who calls to defund the police should have their head examined. Rather, we should be putting more funds into these endeavors. Who you gonna call, the police or your social worker? Police are quitting, citing amounts of a lack of respect and diminishing support from Looney Toons with deep pockets to pay for their own private security without even speaking to the victims of these heinous crimes against society. Hats off to those tasked with bringing down this filth.
Strike up the band
The Waukegan Band, founded in 1936, just finished its 85th year at Steiner Pavilion on Waukegan’s beautiful lakefront. It’s free, unlike other outdoor concerts. Thank you to all the financial supporters. It’s educational, due to the efforts of Dr. Mark Taylor, who gives the background of each piece of music. It’s wonderful due to all the volunteers and community support. We’re all looking forward to the Waukegan Band’s 86th year.
