The Libertyville Recreation Department is considering a new playground at Greentree Park, and is asking in a survey for the public to choose between three designs.
Officials said more than 400 responses to the survey have been received since it opened July 22, which offers people a choice between three different playground designs. Assistant Village Manager Ashley Engelmann said the playground project is expected to be completed by May 2022.
“This is a great response so far,” she said. “We hope to get at least 500 responses.”
Engelmann said the survey will close Aug. 16. Beyond the survey, the village has not received any further input, she said.
The current budget for the playground stands at $239,750, Engelmann said. Currently, the village has 19 parks, with 16 playgrounds across them.
