Insanity
These shootings are insanity. Each and everyone old enough to be shot, should be allowed a gun. The more guns we have, the less shootings there will be. Freedom means we can do what we want. Brainless idiots.
Pretty darn scary
My, how times have changed. People used to be able to have civil discussions about their opinions, and you agreed to disagree. So many are criticizing those who don’t want to get the vaccine, accusing them of being killers. There are many credible medical professionals who’ve stated they feel there are those who shouldn’t get the vaccine because of health conditions, should discuss with their own health care provider if it’s a good idea for them or that we really don’t know what’s right and wrong about how we’re going about treating it, so it’s not cut and dried. Those in politics or media who are not medically trained are the ones shaping this perception, and it’s pretty darn scary. Who determines who gets to check the facts anyway? The ones coming out ahead are those companies who get paid government money to manufacture vaccines, testing kits and fear.

Turn it down
Heads need to roll in the Waukegan police department. A friend called them regarding an extremely loud party on Waukegan’s far north side. Hours later, a cop called and said, ‘Yes, it’s really loud, but they have a live band and you really can’t tell a live band to turn it down.’ This clueless officer needs to be retrained or fired. Waukegan has a noise ordinance. What’s the point of having law enforcement if they are not going to do their jobs? It’s time to bring in a new chief of police.
Against everything
Republicans are against the Equality Act and the Voting Rights bill. Not one voted for the COVID stimulus package. They’re against medals for the Capitol police officers. They’re against masks and vaccine. They’re against investigating the Jan. 6 terrorist attack on our Capitol. They’re against accessible voting. They’re against corporations paying their fair share of taxes. What exactly do they stand for?
Honorable and courageous
I’m an independent thinker and voter. I would vote for both Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, and against any Republican who would vote to push them out of the Republican Party simply for seeking the truth about what happened Jan. 6. We need more honorable and courageous politicians representing us.
