The following items were taken from area police reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Norridge

Burglary

Jewelry was reported stolen June 9 during a residential burglary to a home in the 4800 block of Leonard Drive. Police found items strewn in the driveway leading up to the residence; the north side door was ajar and appeared to be forced open. They also found doors open on the bedrooms, closets and dressers, and items were scattered throughout the bedrooms.

Loose change was reported taken June 8 from a 2016 Toyota Rav4 parked in front of a home in the 4100 block of North Olcott Avenue. The auto also had been rummaged through.

Theft

A pair of Crocs was reported stolen June 13 from Journeys, 4154 N. Harlem Ave.

About $10 and locks were reported stolen June 12 from customers at XSport Fitness, 4260 N. Harlem Ave.

DUI

Boguslaw Plamitzer, 58, of the 3700 block of Odell Avenue, Chicago, on June 8 was charged with DUI and illegal stopping when he was found sleeping behind the wheel of his car at the light at West Forest Preserve Drive and Harlem Avenue, police said.

Harwood Heights

Arrest

Xavier Josephs, 22, of the 3900 block of N. Merrimac Avenue, Chicago, on June 16 was charged with speeding after radar clocked his 2020 Hyundai traveling 42 mph faster than the posted speed limit of 35 mph in the 6600 block of Montrose Avenue, police said.

Roberto Bustamante, 30, of the 8200 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, Skokie, on June 11 was charged with driving without a license and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a crash at the intersection of West Montrose Avenue and Forest Preserve Drive, police said.

Theft

A Honda motorcycle parked in a designated spot in the lot of an apartment building in the 7100 block of West Gunnison Street was reported stolen on June 13.

A catalytic converter on June 10 was reported removed from a 1995 Toyota 4RS parked in front of an auto repair business, 4757 N. Ronald St.
