75th Street improvements could get federal funding
A Naperville road project is among eight chosen in Congressional District 11 for funding consideration by the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, U.S. Rep. Bill Foster said.
Submitted by DuPage County, $648,560 has been requested for 75th Street improvements between Millbrook Drive and Greene Road.

The stretch has four identified high-accident intersections, with not only a high crash volume but crashed that resulted in severe damage, a news release from Foster’s office said.
Funding would help pay for traffic signal modernization, changing the left-turn phasing from permitted-protected to protected only, and would add right-turn lanes and ADA improvements at each crosswalk, the release said.
This is the first phase in the funding process, which still must receive U.S. House and Senate approval and be signed by the president.
