A man was shot Monday night while driving south on the Bishop Ford Freeway in the Riverdale area on the Far South Side, according to Illinois State Police.
About 10:20 p.m., state police responded to reports of a highway shooting on southbound Interstate 94, just north of 130th Street, police said. Witnesses told police the shooter emerged from the sunroof of a vehicle and shot a man driving another car in the leg, WLS-Ch. 7 reported

.The 19-year-old man from Chicago was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Southbound lanes of the Bishop Ford were closed for investigation from 10:30 p.m. to about 11:10 p.m., police said.
The shooter’s vehicle continued south on the interstate. The investigation is ongoing, and no one is in custody, according to the police.
