Leave LSD alone: Do not change Lake Shore Drive to Jean Baptiste DuSable Drive. Apologies to Ald. David Moore, his supporters and Chicago’s young people. Chicagoans have bid reluctant farewells to the names Marshall Field’s, Comiskey Park and the John Hancock Building, all for monetary reasons. It should be Lake Shore Drive forever.
Atheists are minority: Atheists, please keep your comments to yourself. That’s your opinion and that’s fine but the overwhelming majority in this country do not agree with you. And please stop telling people what they believe or don’t believe about the state and the church. Because you’re an atheist, your really have no business commenting what Christians believe or don’t believe. The only way this country is going to survive the mess that it’s in is belief in God and coming back to God.

Biden administration inept: Disregarding anything about Trump and Republicans, and after seeing what has transpired in just Biden’s first couple of months, this is the most incompetent, inept, anti-American administration in our entire history. And I say that anyone who still has an ounce of common sense that still backs what they did or are trying to do, isn’t an American or doesn’t really care if our republic continues to exist and prosper.
Double standard: OK, so let me get this straight. If a Cook County forest preserve officer sees anyone taking anything out of the forest — be it some plant roots, mushrooms or wood — you will be arrested, heavily fined and brought before a judge for further ridicule. If Chicago police sees any one vandalizing, looting and torching private property and public property like police vehicles, they are free to go, unmolested; and they get to keep the stuff they stole. What a wonderfully liberal, progressive state we are blessed to live in!
Never, never forget: This weekend, before you fired up and started your barbecue grilling, I hope you set aside a moment of reflection and remembrance for those brave men and women who paid the ultimate price by sacrificing their lives during military service. Our country, America, is totally in their debt for our personal freedoms, liberty and safety. The dwindling number of the World War II veterans as well as the wars in Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf and the war on terror should remind us all of the significance that we honor our heroes both past and present.
