Jewel Osco is accepting walk-ins until 3 p.m. for Thursday’s Covid-19 vaccination event at Hinsdale Central for any Illinois resident 12 or older, according to an email from Hinsdale High School District 86.
Osco technicians will be administering the two-shot Pfizer vaccine and anyone who receives the first shot of the vaccine will automatically be scheduled for their second one to take place 21 days later. Those who are interested can print out and complete the Informed Consent for Immunization form before arriving or fill out a copy on-site.
While medical insurance is not required to get the vaccine, if you have insurance, either bring a copy of the front and back of the insurance card or the card itself. If you don’t have insurance, let the Osco staff know.
School officials ask that people enter the school through Door 5, which is located on 5500 South Grant Street.
In a recent email sent to the Hinsdale District 86 community, the district previously announced 6,000 available doses for community members 12 or older to receive the two dose Pfizer vaccine on Thursday at Hinsdale Central and May 26 at Downer’s Grove South.
The vaccination event follows the May 12 announcement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that authorized the Pfizer vaccine for 12- through- 15- year-olds.
