Trouble ahead: It looks like Matt Gaetz is in so much trouble even his well-connected father won’t be able to save him. Maybe he’ll learn to date people his own age in lock-up!

Good luck predicting weather: Ah, springtime in Chicago! Where else can you go from 20 degrees below normal to 20 degrees above, all within a five-day span? And where else are the weathermen paid by the hour to make their best guesses at a long-range forecast?

What’s going on is right: Marvin Gaye’s album, “What’s Going On,” came out in 1971. Now it’s 2021 and we still don’t know what’s going on. We still need to examine ourselves and our differences. As Marvin Gaye said, you know we have to find a way to bring some love here today. Sometimes you just simply have to shut up and listen to someone else’s side, you are not right all the time. There are some still believing the big lie. What’s going on.

Education not indoctrination: It’s plain and simple to all you public schools and state colleges. Schools are for education, not indoctrination. Parents step up and reject the racist and America-hating critical race theory. Send your kids to Christian schools, which teach history, not erasing history.

Indiana gets things done: They planned and built a new casino in northwest Indiana in only eight months. We are still trying to decide where to build a south suburban casino for the last three years with no decision in sight. It is getting to be like the new airport idea — talking about it now for 15 years but doing nothing. We should take a lesson from Indiana. They get things done. Illinois politicians can only talk and talk and get nothing done. No wonder people are leaving Illinois every year.

Vulnerable technology: Colonial Pipeline reportedly paid millions of dollars in ransom money to hackers. I cringe when I wonder just how many other large companies may have technology vulnerabilities. I think about how people depend on these companies for vital services and employment. Their network security should be of paramount importance as they hold and safeguard confidential information for millions of people. Instead, companies prioritize political correctness and activism over security. Perhaps they should worry less about gender pronouns and more about upgrading their IT infrastructure.
