For the 2021 model year, Ford is offering three new choices for the Ford Explorer.
The 2021 Explorer Enthusiast ST has a 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine that offers 400 horsepower and 415 lb.-ft. of torque, mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift capability and a sport-tuned suspension.
The 2021 Explorer Enthusiast ST’s top track speed is 143 mph, while a Class III Trailer Tow Package provides up to 5,600 pounds of towing capability.
On the inside, the Enthusiast ST has leather seating with micro-perforated inserts and silver accent stitching.
There is a 12.3-inch digital cluster and heated sport-style steering wheel featuring paddle shifters.
On the outside, the Enthusiast ST has sports quad chrome exhaust tips, 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with painted pockets and sideview mirrors with ST projection lamps, Ford said.
The Enthusiast ST also has Ford Co-Pilot360 standard, including a blind sport information system with cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, hill start assist, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, dynamic braking support and post-impact braking.
The rear-wheel drive Explorer Platinum also has a 3.0-liter engine. Its door handles have a satin aluminum insert, lift gate appliqué, lower bodyside cladding insert, roof-rack side rails and a unique grille with satin aluminum finish.
There’s also a standard twin-panel moonroof and special leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dashboard, door rollovers and door and front console armrests.
The Explorer Platinum Hybrid expands Ford’s full hybrid-electric powertrain into the Explorer series.
The Explorer Enthusiast ST starts at $48,750. The Platinum rear-wheel drive starts at $52,480. And the Platinum Hybrid starts at $53,085.
