Majority’s will on guns ignored: Despite the fact that a substantial majority of the people in this country want common sense gun reform laws that make sure gun safety is a priority and people like the mass shooter in Indianapolis, who was clearly mentally ill, cannot get guns, we do not see any legislation being passed. What kind of country do we live in when the majority’s desires are kicked to the curb year after year by the Second Amendment absolutists and 30,000 to 40,000 Americans every year continue to die from gunshots?

‘Grease’ era was a great time: I don’t know how many times I watch the show “Grease.” I still find Stockard Channing more gracious, beautiful, charming, vivacious than Oliva Newton-John. That’s my opinion. I watch basically to hear her sing. I grew up in the ’50s with Dutch Harrison and all that. Vaseline in my hair, letter jacket, white scarfs and all that stuff. It’s a great time period. Every time I see the movie, I relive it.

This was a bad decision: College football has opened the door for corruption by allowing college athletes to be eligible the same year they transfer. This will allow the best players to go to schools with the best teams and then transfer. Alumni envelopes will be all over the place. What were they thinking?

Voting changes not Jim Crow: People are saying Georgia’s voting rights bill that was passed was Jim Crow stuff. That’s absurd. Have you read the actual changes that Georgia allowed and changed. It’s ridiculous. Read the rules first before you make silly comments.

Taking aim at 16th Amendment: Since President Biden said no amendment is absolute, referring to the Second Amendment, how about we take a shot at the 16th Amendment as well. The Congress shall have the power to lay taxes on income, from whatever source derived, etc. And I don’t mean find more ways to avoid paying taxes by wealthy Democrats in big tech, big media, big finance and big corporations.

Start enforcing traffic laws: Seeing a local job posting for patrol officers may mean traffic laws, which have become so blatantly ignored, will be enforced again. Along with increased fines to cover court costs, this is one way government bodies could begin replenishing revenue shortfalls instead of taking the easy road and continually hitting taxpayers with higher bills.
