Police are warning Far South Side residents after several fires were set in the Hegewisch neighborhood.
According to police, city garbage cans and garages were set on fire in four separate incidents from April 3 to 5, in the late-night and early-morning hours.
The times and locations of the incidents:
* 13300 block of South Avenue N at 11:30 p.m.
* 13300 block of South Buffalo Avenue at 11:41 p.m.
* 13400 block of South Baltimore Avenue at 12:30 a.m.
* 13500 block of South Buffalo Avenue at 12:11 a.m.
Police said they have no surveillance video or images they could provide at this time. They say residents should keep their properties well-lit and not put out bulky items before pickup days.
