In the election for four open seats on the La Grange Highlands District 106 School Board, Kristi Bruno, Jodi Golm, Katy Fattaleh and Jennifer Mitchell were the leaders in unofficial election results.
Bruno of Indian Head Park had 16.4% of the 4,032 votes tallied as Monday, April 12. Golm and Fattaleh, both of La Grange, had 15.8% and 15% respectively, and Mitchell of Western Springs had 13.8%.
Ellen Welter, in fifth place, trailed Mitchell by 55 votes for the fourth seat.
Following them, in unofficial election results, were Jennifer Mishos with 10.2% of the votes, Brian Wolf with 9.5% and Kara Ferrell with 6.8%, all from Western Springs.
None of the eight candidates who filed to run were incumbents.
According to the Cook County Clerk’s Office, results posted on the website include early voting, Election Day in-person voting, and mail ballots that have been received and processed.
Mailed-in ballots postmarked by April 6 will be counted as long as they arrive at the Cook County Clerk’s Office by April 20.
