Kia has introduced its EV6, the car manufacturer’s first dedicated battery electric vehicle.
At the front, the EV6 has daytime running lights designed into the vehicle’s “digital tiger face,” Kia said, evoking Kia’s tiger nose grille for an electrified era.
Low air intake is designed to widen the front of the car, channeling the air through and under the EV6’s flat floor.
The rear has a sloping rear C-pillar with a black glossy insert, visually widening the windows. A roof spoiler channels air downwards toward a lower spoiler at the rear light cluster.
On the interior, there is a curved high-definition audio, visual and navigation screen.
The instrument cluster extends from the steering wheel and across the center of the car. The infotainment and navigation screen is above the center console.
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning are controlled with haptic “buttons,” and below that panel, the dashboard slopes away toward the front of the car.
The seats use recycled plastics in their fabrics, designed slim to offer more openness in the cabin, Kia said.
