Prime-time pornography: I was really glad to learn that the ratings for this years Grammys on CBS tanked and were 50% down from last year’s abysmal viewership. I don’t watch these left-leaning award programs with their partisan agendas anymore. On cable news, I saw what shocked audience members witnessed this past Sunday night (during the show). This type of perverse programming spectacle is deemed acceptable to young impressionable children? Really? Where is the FCC to crack down on CBS and where are the corporate censors anyway? I’m no prude but this prime-time pornography has no place on the family airwaves.
This has to stop: Black lives do matter. Minneapolis is paying out $27 million for the death of George Floyd. Money will never bring Mr. Floyd back. However, the spotlight is finally on the difference in treatment between Blacks and whites. Now we have our Asian-Americans being violated. All of this needs to stop.
Paper carrier complimented: We would like to give a big shout out to our paper carrier. He never fails to deliver our paper even in the worst of weather. We are seniors and it is so thoughtful of him to put our paper by our garage door. It is so appreciated.
Not all jobs equal: Some say we shouldn’t fight against the $15 an hour minimum wage. I don’t feel that somebody flipping hamburgers at McDonald’s deserves $15 an hour. But do I feel that the caregivers in the nursing home deserve $15 an hour, certainly. There are certain professions that do deserve the raise in pay: the grocery store worker; the girl in the office, many of them do wire transfers, take bill payments, do money orders. These people deserve $15 an hour. But do the baggers deserve $15 an hour? Absolutely not. So examine all the different jobs and rate them.
Relief money good for economy: There have been complaints that people are going to buy TVs and games with their COVID-19 relief money. Spending is good for businesses, jobs and the economy, whether it’s money spent on TVs or on food. Who cares? I think every family deserves a decent TV, especially after 2020.
