The Western Springs Senior Center and School District 101 are hosting a vaccine clinic Saturday at the Recreation Center in Western Springs for residents age 65 and older.
Jewel Osco employees will administer the Pfizer vaccine from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 13, at the Recreation Center, at 1500 Walker Street.
Appointments are required and priority will be given to Western Springs residents. To register, send an email to [email protected]. In response, you will receive an online form that captures your contact information, so a link to sign up for the clinic can be sent to you.
The second dose will be given April 3 to people who received the first dose.
People who do not have an email address, can call the Western Springs School District 101 office at 708-246-3700 for help. If you leave a message, someone will call you back, village staff said.

“I know these (time slots) are filling fast,” said Ellen Baer, the village’s director of administrative services. “If anyone knows a senior who is looking for a vaccine, please encourage them to reach out to us at the village, by calling 708-246-1800, or call the school district,” Baer said. “If they really want to expedite things, send an email to [email protected]. That will expedite the process of getting registered.”
