DuPage Children’s Museum booking private play times
The DuPage Children’s Museum in Naperville is offering private 90-minute play times that will allow groups of up to 10 children and adults to visit in a pandemic-safe way, officials said.
Two different play experiences are available and provide exclusive access to select exhibits, a news release said.
The first option is called the Explore Experience, which gives children access to hands-on exhibits that provide opportunities to imagine, design and build and includes time in the newly designed Move & Groove space, the release said.
In the Discover Experience, children play with blocks, tubing, balls, gears, real tools and other items to problem solve and build structures. It also provides access to the AWEsome Electricity and AWEsome exhibits and the In The Studio a hands-on art activity area.
The cost is $225 for members and $250 for nonmembers for groups of up to 10. Friday through Sunday times are available through March 21. From March 22 through April 5, Monday through Sunday times can be booked. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
All participants age 2 or older must wear face masks and each group will be assigned their own restroom.

Will County’s only vote-by-mail drop box in Joliet
Because no state statute authorizes the widespread use of vote-by-mail drop boxes, only one will be available in Will County for the April 6 general election.
The box is located directly outside the Will County Office Building at 302 N. Chicago St. in downtown Joliet.
There had been eight drop boxes used in the November 2020 election because the Illinois General Assembly passed a temporary law allowing for them, Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry said in a release.
That law expired Jan. 1. Efforts to have the drop box legislation made permanent were not successful.
The box outside the county building will be available through 7 p.m. April 6.
