One nonprofit organization has just hit the daily double.
The Doe Fund, an organization that provides clothing to people transitioning to a workplace environment, is receiving “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek’s wardrobe, reported Variety on Tuesday.
“During his last day on set, Alex extolled the virtues of everyone opening up their hands and their hearts to those who are suffering,” said “Jeopardy!” producer Mike Richards. “Donating his wardrobe to those who are working to rebuild their lives is the perfect way to begin to honor that last request.”
Among the items heading to the nonprofit are 14 sweaters, nine sports coats, 14 suits, nine pairs of dress shoes, three pairs of pants, 58 dress shirts, 25 polo shirts, 15 belts, two parkas and 300 neckties, according to Variety.

Spearheading the charitable act was Trebek’s 30-year-old son, Matthew, a longtime supporter of The Doe Fund. The wardrobe was gathered by Trebek and show costumer Steven Zimbelman.
“We are so grateful for ‘Jeopardy!’ and the Trebek family’s commitment to lifting up the most vulnerable among us,” explained The Doe Fund president Harriet McDonald. “The men in our career-training programs are always in need of professional attire, so they can shine in their job interviews and work with confidence once they’re hired. This donation alleviates the obstacles of not having appropriate clothing.”
