Wake up
For the people who don’t understand how it is that Trump is responsible for so many COVID deaths, here it is in a nutshell: He failed miserably at the onset of the pandemic. He joked about it, and brushed it off as the flu. If he had taken it seriously and mandated masks right from the minute we knew it was in the States, we wouldn’t have lost so many lives. He is responsible. He was your leader, not mine, and he failed you and your people miserably. Instead of protecting and guiding you as a leader should, he continued to fail the American people. He acted too proud and vain to wear a mask himself, encouraging and starting conspiracies about COVID, leading people to their deaths. Just like the cult leader he is. So sad so many of our family, friends, and fellow Americans fell for it. What an embarrassment and mockery he has made of our country. So glad the buffoon is gone. Good grief, wake up.
Choke hold on the city
The Chicago Teachers Union has a choke hold on the city of Chicago. Every time they don’t get their way, they go on strike. Not only the city, but the county and the state are being strangled by this dictating union. The union needs to be broken and dissolved because it is costing the people of Illinois a tremendous amount of money year after year for their high wages and retirement funds. No other union has such power, and money for employees that only work eight months a year. Warren Township schoolteachers also have their purses stuffed full and want another big pay raise.
Double standard?
A sports betting gambling ring victimized addicted gamblers, who jeopardized their lives by continuing to place bets? Then any people who sell or buy alcohol for others should be arrested and convicted, more so than gamblers. Others might lose their lives because of addiction to alcohol.
New name?
Renaming a school will not change history. Part of my history is being part of the third class to graduate from Daniel Webster Junior High, and my fond memories of those years, far outweigh anything Webster or Jefferson may have done that seems to offend so many politically correct do-gooders of today. If a change is going to happen, I would like Abraham Davis to be honored. Mr. Davis was a Black custodian in a school full of white children in the 1950s. If you were blessed to have met him, or known him as a student that looked forward to his contagious smile every day, you have probably never forgotten what an extraordinary man he was. The world would be a much better, safer place if we had more people like Abe Davis in it.
Live off the land
To all the teachers and anyone else that is refusing to go back to work due to the pandemic, I hope you are, or will, start living off the land. I hope your home is not using gas or electricity. I hope you are not getting groceries and items from stores. I hope you are not getting deliveries. I hope you are not using your phone, or anything else that requires somebody to do their job so you can have comfort or survive. Your life is not worth more than mine, and your job is much safer.

Don’t kid yourself. The Democrats are not vehemently opposed to reopening schools due to COVID. They want to stretch this crisis out, so they have time to alter and change history textbooks to their liking. They have already desecrated Washington, Jefferson, Davis, Jackson, etc. Beware. This is precisely what Hitler did in Germany — destroy books, change history, form search parties to root out those in opposition, take away guns, etc. This is not the Democratic Party your parents were aligned with. This is a socialist party.
