We pay your salary
What is going on? I have friends in other states that are younger than me and have no underlying medical conditions, and they have all received their COVID vaccine injections. Wisconsin, Indiana, South Carolina, etc. have their vaccinations in “full swing,” but those of us in Illinois are sitting out here defenseless. Come on governor, step up to the plate. There are people outside of Chicago that need the vaccination. We pay your salary. How about working for it?
About the profits?
If the media is correct, the medical companies’ profits have doubled. So, ask the person you voted for — Was it about us or profits?
Shame on you
Well, there goes Pfister again shaking hands with Governor Jelly Belly, and expanding the categories in Phase 1a to include the teachers along the North Shore. You know, the rich elites. Pfister somehow justifies it as a step back to normal. My wife and I are senior citizens with one of those underlying conditions as named in Phase 1b. We would like to get our vaccinations, so Pfister should take a look at its own data hub as to where the deaths are. It’s with the seniors, not the 20- to 50-year-old teachers. Pfister and the County Board don’t care about the seniors. They don’t care that seniors have been extra diligent with masks and distances in order to stay alive until the vaccines arrive. Now that the vaccines have arrived, Pfister and the County Board listen to all the special interest groups who get the vaccine, and the county forgets about the seniors. Shame on you.
Defend all Americans
Shame on all our Republican senators who fail to uphold their constitutional oath to defend the United States of all Americans. Though senators are elected to represent their states, their oath is to defend the laws of United States Constitution for “all” Americans. For our freedom, for our democracy. Their oath is not to their constituents, not to a president and certainly not to a political party. Their oath is to defend Republican and Democratic citizens alike in their district and state.

If the Senate fails to convict President Trump for crimes against the United States, it will open up the presidency to future acts of sedition, insurrection, dictatorship and, worse, another Hitler. It will set a precedent. Next time, it could be an independent or a Democratic president that does this horrific crime. Would you be OK if they got off? I know I wouldn’t.
More immoral
I just heard that President Biden is going to reverse the immigration laws that President Trump signed into law because they are immoral. I can’t think of anything more immoral than allowing people to come to this country and leach off of my tax money that I worked for.
