Despite a violent insurrection last week to keep him in Washington, D.C., President Trump is losing the White House next week. And if actor Macaulay Culkin gets his way, Trump will lose his place in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York? as well.

The 40-year-old “Home Alone” star chimed in on Twitter Wednesday, where numerous social media users have suggested editing Trump out of the 1992 classic.
“Petition to digitally replace trump in ‘home alone 2’ with 40-year-old macaulay culkin,” one fan tweeted.
“Sold,” Culkin responded.
And he wasn’t just looking for more screen time. When another Twitter user posted video online where Trump is cut from the one scene in which he appears in the film, Culkin wrote “Bravo.”
The scene featuring Trump and Culkin was shot in the Plaza Hotel, which the real estate developer-turned-politician owned when the movie hit theaters. Culkin’s character, a child who gets separated from his family while on vacation, asks Trump how to get to the lobby and is pointed down the hall.
This isn’t the first time someone tried to cut Trump’s cameo in “Home Alone 2.?
Around Christmastime 2019, it was reported that Canadian viewers don’t see the 10-second scene featuring Trump when the movie airs there. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation explained that edit and other ones were made to allow room for advertisements in 2014, before Trump got into politics.
In December, director Chris Columbus told Insider he considered trimming the now twice-impeached president from the flick, but audiences voted him into the final cut.
“We agreed to put him in the movie, and when we screened it for the first time the oddest thing happened: People cheered when Trump showed up on-screen,” Columbus said. “So I said to my editor, ‘Leave him in the movie. It’s a moment for the audience.'”
Culkin tweeted to his followers on Christmas Day asking for movie-watching advice.
“Seen any good movies lately?” he asked, then clarified, “I meant excellent movies.”
