Northbrook police are asking the public for help in identifying the individuals and car involved in an armed robbery Monday night.
Authorities responded Monday just before 6:30 p.m. to a call of a reported armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of Northbrook Court mall, 1515 Lake Cook Road.
A woman was walking to her car when three or four people in an SUV-type vehicle pulled up and two got out. One of the people pointed a pistol at her and ordered her to give them all of her belongings, police said.
The woman said she was then knocked to the ground and hit, and her purse was taken. The individuals, described by the victim as wearing surgical masks, left in the SUV.
The investigation is ongoing, officials said. Northbrook police are reviewing video surveillance and looking for the vehicle in question. Anyone with information should contact the police department at (847) 564- 2060.
