Nearly one in four homes in the Chicago Bears’ home TV market were tuned to their 41-17 rout Sunday of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The victory on CBS-2, keeping the Bears’ shot at a postseason berth in their own hands and ensuring the Jaguars the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL draft, averaged a 24.0 household rating in the Chicago area.

That represents 24% of the market, and roughly 833,000 area homes, according to Nielsen estimates.

Local ratings peaked at a 26.5 between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m., early in the second half as the Bears began to bust open a surprisingly tight game with 21 third-quarter points.

By beating the Jaguars (1-14), the 8-7 Bears set up a season finale with the visiting archrival Green Bay Packers (12-3) Sunday at 3:25 p.m. CT on Fox-32 fraught with importance for both teams.

For the Packers, there is the chance to earn a first-round playoff bye.

The Bears hope to lock up a playoff slot.
