Hinsdale police charged a Downers Grove man with having the navy blue Audi that was stolen on Vine Street Nov. 15.
Deshun Williams, 23, of the 400 block of Austin Street, Downers Grove, was charged Dec. 4 with possession of a stolen vehicle. Williams is accused of having the navy blue Audi Q5 which was stolen from the 100 block of South Vine Street in Hinsdale at about 2 p.m. Nov. 15.

While a woman was unloading her Audi Q5, another car pulled up and a young man exited and got in the Audi and drove away. The woman’s purse and keys were inside the Audi. Hinsdale police recovered the Audi the next morning on the West Side of Chicago.
Evidence in the SUV led police to Williams who was arrested Dec. 4 in the neighborhood where the vehicle was found, Hinsdale Police Chief Brian King said.
On Nov. 19, police found a vehicle abandoned on Walnut Street east of Washington Street that had been taken in a carjacking in Forest Park on Nov. 15. Police believe it was the vehicle the Audi thief drove to Vine Street in Hinsdale later that day.
