“Deja Vu” singer Dionne Warwick writes her own lyrics on Twitter.
Warwick, who turns 80 on Friday, became a big hit on social media last week by asking Chance the Rapper why he includes his job title in his name, then declared herself “Dionne the Singer.”
Blown away that he’d been tweeted at by a music icon, the 27-year-old rapper, born Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, respectfully responded, “I will be whatever you wanna call me Ms. Warwick.”
According to Warwick, her niece Britney introduced her to the social media platform and she’s figuring it out quickly. Warwick also tweeted at Taylor Swift Sunday, telling the singer to “continue uplifting others with your wonderful spirit.”
An excited Swift, using back-to-back exclamation marks and emoticons, tweeted back that she’s a “huge fan” and thanked Warwick in turn for spreading joy. Warwick also reached out to pop star Justin Bieber, rapper Snoop Dogg and had a question for musician The Weeknd, too.
On Monday, Warwick responded to the hoopla that followed her recent Twitter tour de force, which apparently left some skeptics wondering if she was sending her own tweets.
“Well hello,” Warwick said on her video posted to Twitter Monday.
Her account was started in 2012 and has more than 130,000 followers.

“This is for all you tweeters who have decided that I’m not tweeting my own stuff,” Warwick said. “I want you to know I am and I’m getting very, very, very good at it.”
According to Warwick, her message Monday should put to rest any doubters who may believe she has someone else handling her social media.
“And if it doesn’t, deal with it,” she said.
Warwick’s tweet included a caption making clear that she isn’t going to repeat her assertion that all tweets are her own.
