Chicago Bears quarterback Nick Foles and his wife, Tori, paid $2.8 million in late June for a newly built, six-bedroom house in Glencoe.

The Bears acquired Foles, 31, in March through a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In late September, he supplanted Mitch Trubisky as the Bears’ starting quarterback.

Built by homebuilder NorthShore Development Group, the Foleses’ 4,427-square-foot house has five bedrooms, 61/2 bathrooms and two fireplaces. Ceilings reach 11 feet high on the first floor and 13 feet high on the second floor, and a first-floor office could function as a sixth bedroom. The kitchen has custom walnut cabinetry, quartzite and marble counters, a walk-in pantry, a Wolf wall oven and range, and appliances by Asko and Sub-Zero.

The second floor boasts a laundry room and a primary bedroom suite with herringbone floors, double sinks and a large walk-in closet. Other features include a family room with built-ins; a lower level with a theater and a wine cellar; and a walk-in butler’s pantry with a wine refrigerator.

The house has an attached two-car garage, with a second two-car garage on the 0.41-acre property, which boasts a professionally landscaped yard with outdoor speakers.

The house first was listed in March for $2.9 million. While the Foleses bought the home in June, the sale wasn’t recorded with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds until October.

Alissa McNicholas of Compass confirmed that she represented Foles in his homebuying, but declined to confirm that he bought the $2.8 million Glencoe house.

“They’re a lovely family,” she said.

In May, the Foleses sold their five-bedroom, 5,348-square-foot house in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, for $1.9 million. They paid $1.8 million for it in April 2019.
