Shut up and play

I feel all of America needs to start boycotting musicians. I got rid of all my Bon Jovi and Lady Gaga albums. And I no longer watch actors that constantly bash our president and other politicians. Stop using your podium for that. Just stick to the arts. That’s all I want to know, and all I want to hear is the arts. Anything more than that, I don’t care. I have thrown away all my music regarding the musicians.

Think before you write

Charles Selle’s column calls Gov. Pritzker’s actions acting like Big Brother. Right above that, the headline is “Tensions rising.” Isn’t it bad enough that this is going on, and the tensions are high, and there’s so much anger out there on both sides that Charles has to say Big Brother. And then on another page, right in the middle, it says the governor warns of record positivity rates while state faces mitigations. I wish people would use their heads, and realize that we are in a very, very serious situation depending on what status you are, and I mean status in your risks for getting COVID-19. Please think about what you write, and how you write it.

Wake up

I was just reading an article in the paper where the group the Proud Boys has been designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which is a hate group. Wake up.

Remove your signs

Now that the elections are over, let’s see how soon they can pick up all these political signs off the parkways and the private properties. Let’s clean up the city of Waukegan.

Not happy

This is for Mayor Cunningham. You’re up for re-election and I hope you realize that a lot of people aren’t happy with the way you handled that situation with the young man and the officers. Your priorities are very selective with your actions. Also, do you realize that in Waukegan there were mayors who took care of everything, and they helped the people? You don’t care about the older people in town who made this town, and who made it what it is.

TV news to blame

Let’s really find out what is the biggest problem we’ve got in this country, and I think if you look at it real hard with an open mind you’ll find that the 24-hour news networks have become the biggest divisive issue in this country. And they have to cover 24 hours, and they find people that will say anything, and continue to say it over and over trying to make everybody believe it.
