Queen Elizabeth is on the board but still trailing President Trump.
On Wednesday, the 94-year-old British monarch was spotted at an event wearing a face mask — the first such public instance since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, reported Sky News on Saturday.
Trump has virtually eschewed wearing masks at any public event despite contracting the potentially deadly infection in early October. In late May, a photographer snapped a shot of the commander-in-chief wearing a mask at a Ford plant in Michigan, according to NBC News, and in mid-July, he was seen outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center wearing one, according to BBC News.
Sporting a classy black facial covering with white trim — which perfectly suited her somber ensemble — the British royal was at London’s Westminster Abbey to lay flowers on the grave of Britain’s Unknown Warrior.

Her excursion was her first public one in London since March, according to Sky News.
The visit to Westminster Abbey, where she married Prince Philip in 1947, came less than one month after she was roundly criticized for not wearing a mask at a defense laboratory in Salisbury.
Palace officials stated the queen declined to wear a mask after consulting her own medical officials and scientists, according to CNN

Elizabeth’s eldest son and heir apparent, Prince Charles, tested positive for coronavirus in March and self-quarantined in Scotland. He claimed to have only suffered mild symptoms.
His oldest son, Prince William, recently revealed he, too, had been diagnosed with COVID-19 but would not disclose when. He allegedly didn’t publicize his sickness for fear of worrying Brits, according to an inside source.
Another notable Brit who battled COVID-19 was U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who was hospitalized.
As of Saturday, 48,978 U.K. residents have lost their lives to the disease, according to health tracker Johns Hopkins University. The national total is the fifth-worst in the world; the U.S. has suffered the most fatalities with more than 237,000.
