Depression relief: I’m watching “Madea’s Witness Protection” movie. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life. Tyler Perry is unbelievable. I’m sitting here because I have health issues and depression, but I’m laughing so hard. I watch Madea every chance I get because it can help your depression with humor.

Pence as bad as Trump: The president is out here saying we’re rounding the corner, and this is going to be over with. But the White House is not a place you want to be. Coronavirus is going through there like crazy. It’s not enough that the president tells lies, but now the vice president is following in his footsteps. Mike Pence is the head of the coronavirus task force. What does he do? After people on his staff close to him catch the coronavirus, he doesn’t quarantine. He goes to rallies.

How can it be safer? I feel sorry for these restaurants. I really hope they make it. There’s something I don’t understand about the ones that have a heated tent outside. How is it safer to go into that heated tent than to go into the dining room? It doesn’t make any sense to me.

Speak Out has impact: I appreciate your column. I’ll never speak good of President Trump again. I was really an idiot. I didn’t know what I was talking about. He put my food stamps down to nothing. The guy doesn’t care about us. I realized how wrong I was. It took your Speak Out readers to help me realize how wrong I was.

Dangerous and selfish: I was watching TV, and I saw a baseball player for the Dodgers who tested positive (for COVID-19). What does he do? He runs out and gets out there with everyone without wearing a mask. He gets out there and kisses his wife. What’s wrong with the people of this country? Are we that brazen, mean and hateful that we don’t care about each other?

Fewer tests not a cure: Dr. (Scott) Atlas (an advisor on the White House Coronavirus Task Force) and the scientist in Florida both jumped on the president’s bandwagon and said we don’t need to do testing. Kudos to you, Mr. Know It All and Dr. Obvious. Listen, they did this. They actually cut testing in Florida by more than half. Guess what? Florida still has coronavirus and is almost overrun in its hospitals with coronavirus. You can stop testing, but you can’t hide from this virus.
