Kanye West gave his wife Kim Kardashian a hologram of her late father Robert as a 40th birthday gift.
“For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad,” Kardashian wrote on Instagram. “It is so lifelike and we watched it over and over, filled with lots so tears and emotion. I can’t even describe what this meant to me.”
Hologram Robert told Kim how proud he was of her, but the message was not recorded prior to the elder Kardashian’s death in 2003. At one point, he congratulates his daughter on marrying “the most, most, most, most, most genius man in the whole world, Kanye West.”
Robert, who rose to fame as one of O.J. Simpson’s defense attorneys, also used his hologram form to encourage Kim to continue working toward her dream of becoming a lawyer.
West reportedly arrived late to the Kardashian private island birthday bash, but made up for it with his futuristic gift.
