Jennifer Zordani’s bid to represent the 47th District provides more questions than answers for this voter.
Clarendon Hills resident Jennifer Zordani’s campaign literature would like readers to believe she is ready to fix Springfield. Pretty huge task for someone with absolutely no experience in governance. Her history in community service is pretty non existent. No mention of any service as either a committee or board member serving the residents of Clarendon Hills where she could have become acquainted and worked on issues that affect residents. I guess she didn’t think it would be of importance.
And when it comes Illinois’ biggest challenge _ leading the fight to end government corruption, most of it crafted by Michael Madigan who is under federal investigation for bribery, she has chosen not to call for his resignation. She also refuses to answer whether her campaign is being financed by substantial funds controlled by Madigan. No surprise there.
Contrast her lack of experience and transparency to that of her opponent, Deanne Mazzochi whose record as our state representative is exemplary. Mazzochi most recently filed a resolution insisting that Madigan must resign for the good of Illinois after the filing stated that Madigan sought to implement a variety of schemes to bolster his patronage network.
Mazzochi has filed bills to give local communities more control over the installation of 5G wireless equipment and co-sponsored legislation that put tougher restrictions on toxic ethylene oxide emissions in Illinois. She has advocated for more capital funding for Metra projects as well.
Deanne Mazzochi deserves our support to continue to represent the 47th District for two more years.
