As the world simultaneously reeled and swooned after actor Chris Evans’ NSFW Instagram mishap Saturday, little brother Scott Evans chimed in as only a needling, mischievous younger sibling could.
“Was off social media for the day yesterday,” he tweeted Sunday. “So. What’d I miss?”
And the fans answered, as they have been since the errant photos appeared, briefly and apparently accidentally, on Chris Evans’ Instagram – a photo roll that popped into view as a video of his family playing a trivia game called “Heads Up” wound down. The Instagram story apparently included a penis image from his camera roll.
The errant photos disappeared almost as soon as they appeared, but it was enough to cause meme-mayhem across the Captain America fan-o-sphere.
Some people responded with kudos for the original pictures. Some responded with regular news, such as, “I walked 10,000 steps, which I haven’t done in a year,” or, “I became a grandma.”
Someone else asked “much you and your brother have in common,” and others simply said, “Please stop.”
“LMAO” emojis abounded.
Then there were the sympathizers.
“You missed the world appreciating & loving Chris for the kind man that he is.”
Someone else helpfully suggested that Scott please “teach your brother how to make folders in his gallery.”
Chris Evans may or may not have figured that out yet, but his most recent Instagram snap is of him and his dog, both looking very happy.
Although the initial photo left little to the imagination, some mystery remained.
“At this time, it’s unclear if it’s Chris’ camera roll or not,” E! Online noted, “and he has yet to address it publicly.”
