“I want to thank all my dear . . . sweet . . . real fans for being so damn wonderful!!!” the 38-year-old superstar wrote Thursday. “I can feel your hearts and I know you can feel mine. Thank you for your support!!!”
Spears, whose estate has been in a conservatorship or legal guardianship since several highly publicized mental meltdowns in 2008, is worth approximately $59 million, according to Business Insider.
Earlier in the week, according to legal documents obtained by the Daily News, Spears’ attorney, Samuel Ingham, argued that Spears “is strongly opposed” to her father, Jamie Spears, overseeing her estate — a job the 68-year-old dad had performed for over a decade.
“We are now at a point where the conservatorship must be changed substantially in order to reflect the major changes in her current lifestyle and her stated wishes,” Ingham stated in a court filing.
The judge ruled that Spears’ current conservatorship will continue through Feb. 1, 2021.
Previously, Spears said she “strongly prefers” that licensed conservator Jodi Montgomery continue on in that capacity.
Spears, who has scored four No. 1 Billboard singles and sold more than 100 million records worldwide, has not landed a Top 10 hit since 2012’s “Scream & Shout.”
