A Deer Park woman was arrested after authorities found her boyfriend with a serious head wound when they arrived at their home on a domestic battery call Sunday.
Bophanary Om, 39, was in the Lake County jail facing charges of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and two counts of domestic battery, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said Om struck her boyfriend on the head with a machete when she became upset he urinated in the bed at the home they share in the 22500 block of West Lake Cook Road in Deer Park.
The victim is expected to recover, according to the report. Om is due in court on Aug. 25. Her bail was set at $30,000.
