He’s filling in the gaps on his Gap resume.
Kanye West has partnered with Gap to create a new line of clothing with his Yeezy fashion brand, dubbed Yeezy Gap.
The 43-year-old artist/fashion mogul announced the deal Friday on Twitter, writing “YEEZY AND GAP FORM PARTNERSHIP.” Gap’s stock soared after West’s tweet.
Gap, in much more corporate fashion, put out a press release which said West would be collaborating on basic clothes at “affordable price points” which would appear in Gap stores next year.
West actually worked at Gap as a teenager and rapped about the not-so-great times in 2004’s “Spaceship.” In the release, Gap touted how the relationship had come “full circle.”

The Yeezy Gap line is just the latest in West’s numerous ventures into the fashion industry, which have followed his famous 2015 line, “Do you see this coat?”
West has made at least $1 billion from Yeezy’s success, and Yeezy’s limited shoe releases sell out almost instantly.
Yeezy Gap, on the other hand, will be widely distributed as part of a 10-year contract, according to Vogue. West will receive royalties and potential equity from the deal, depending on sales.
