The popular YouTuber who rose to fame as a 13-year-old contestant on “The X Factor” and who was known as Trevor Moran has come out as a transgender woman.

“Hi. My name is Trevi Moran. I am a transgender female,” the singer and internet sensation told her followers in an emotional video Saturday.

“It’s a good start. I can’t believe I just said that out loud,” Moran continued after a long pause, apparently realizing the weight of her announcement.

The 21-year-old California resident said she began taking hormones two months ago and plans to release a documentary about her transition.

“I’ve dealt with this feeling my entire life, and I know that I’m a woman deep down,” she said. “It’s just a feeling. You know.”

Moran first made headlines as a young teenager after performing LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” on Fox’s “The X Factor” in 2012. She later became a YouTube celebrity, drawing more than 1.4 million subscribers to her channel.

Moran came out as gay in 2015 and then openly questioned her gender identity in 2017, according to People.

“I hit a rock in my journey in 2017 when I thought I wasn’t transgender because I thought that people were pushing me to be transgender,” she said in her latest video. “No, I just had a lot of demons back then, a lot of eating disorder stuff, self-confidence issues. It wasn’t the time for me to come out back then… But now I’m here, and I’m transgender.”
