The 2020 hurricane season is forecast to be a busy one, so get used to hearing the names Cristobal, Dolly, Edouard, Fay, Gonzalo and others.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration calls for six to 10 hurricanes, of which three to six could achieve major hurricane strength — Category 3 or higher.

Will any of the names go down in the history books like Michael, Irma, Sandy, Wilma or Katrina?

There are the names of the 2020 Atlantic storms, established by an international committee of the World Meteorological Organization:

Hopefully, no more than 21 will be needed. If so, additional storms will take names from the Greek alphabet starting with Alpha, Beta and Gamma. That last happened after the end of the record 2005 season, when Tropical Storm Zeta formed as the 29th named storm of the year on Dec. 30.
