“We had been working so hard on so many different projects,” he explained. “And at first, there was a day or so of a kind of relief. I didn’t have to go anywhere, do anything. I mean I had to do everything but I didn’t have to do it then. It was kind of a relief. And then, the anxiety set in…”
Though Beard’s followers only get a glimpse at the short, she assured them that the film is worth waiting for.
“He’s at home, and he’s thinking about the lockdown through the lens of classic movies, like Hitchock’s ‘The Wrong Man,'” Beard said.

In addition to vintage footage, the native New Yorker gives viewers a peek into his home, mostly through “shaky handheld camera work,” as BBC News put it.
Prior to the global disruptioan caused by the pandemic, the “Mean Streets” director was working on “Killers of the Flower Moon,” a murder mystery based on the non-fiction book of the same name.
On Thursday, Deadline reported that the film would be an Apple original, though it’s still slated to hit theaters — when is not yet known, not least because production on the Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro feature hasn’t even begun.
Scorsese even admitted in his short, “I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be in this room. I don’t know when we are going to be able to start production on this film.”
Despite the current obstacles, the director said that “the people you love” are “the essential,” particularly in these times.
