Kuzlik, chief executive officer of Let’s Pave, an Oak Brook-based paving company, was behind the wheel for the drive for his company’s “Road to Recovery’ initiative to benefit hard-hit healthcare and senior facilities in Massachusetts.
During his trip, Kuzlik made stops along the way at various retailers, restaurants, and convenience stores in order to re- fuel and stock up on additional donation supplies and to drop off items.
Kuzlik said “Road to Recovery” is an effort to provide a well-deserved “thank you” and support to medical professionals, aides, and staff members who are risking their health and well-being, Let’s Pave has raised more than $50,000 so far to benefit the frontline facilities.
“The northeast has been particularly hard hit,” Kuzlik said Friday May 8 as the reason for his trip to Boston.
Using funds raised, Let’s Pave partnered with Aldi and Ahold USA’s Stop & Shop stores to purchase gift cards, lunches, and home goods gift packages, including items such as antibacterial wipes, hand sanitizer, and tissue paper.
“This outreach involved many people and had many working parts,” Kuzlik said, noting that the idea for “Road to Recovery came from his company’s director of business development, Josh Canning. Several company employees made personal donations to the cause.
“I’m proud and humbled to help lead the Let’s Pave family in giving back to communities around the country and throughout the world,” Kuzlik said.
