The following items were taken from Barrington Police Department reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Unlawful use of a weapon

Carlos Palella, 35, of the 21000 block of 21st Street, was charged March 7 with unlawful use of a weapon in the 100 block of Barrington Commons Court. Palella is scheduled to appear in court April 1.

Speeding

Maylyn Salazar, 33, of 8th Street, Chicago, was charged March 14 for driving while license suspended, speeding, following too closely and improper lane usage in the 1000 block of Northwest Highway. Salazar is scheduled to appear in court April 14.

Theft and burglary

A theft in the 600 block of Bent Ridge Lane was reported March 9.

Burglary in the 500 block of East Main Street was reported March 11.

Fraud

Fraud in the 600 block of Hart Road was reported March 10.

Dog bite

A dog bite in the 100 block of Old Mill Road was charged March 11.
