The man who is supposedly six degrees from everyone is the perfect spokesperson for health expert’s recommendation for social distancing during the coronavirus crisis.

The “Footloose” star took to Instagram to announce the “Six Degrees” social distance challenge to encourage people to keep a safe distance from others — suggested to be six feet away.

“Hi, folks. You know me, right? I’m technically only six degrees away from you,” Bacon said, referencing the famous game “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.”

“Right now, like people around the world, I’m staying home, because it saves lives and it is the only way we’re going to slow down the spread of this coronavirus,” he continued. “Because the contact that you make with someone, who makes contact with someone else, that may be what makes somebody’s mom or grandpa or wife sick.”

The Golden Globe Award winner explained that everyone has someone close — emotionally, that is — that they’d want to keep safe, adding, “every one of us has someone who is worth staying home for.”

He then held up a sign with the name of his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, reading “#IStayHomeFor Kyra Sedgwick.”

The actress then is heard in the background yelling her husband’s name.

In the caption to the video clip, Bacon encouraged his celebrity friends like Elton John, Jimmy Fallon, Demi Lovato and David Beckham, as well as their fans, to join him in is Coronavirus Stay Home challenge.

“The more of us who can, make it safer for those who can’t. So if you’re home too like me, post a video or photo with a sign like mine, telling who you are staying home for and ask 6 friends to do the same.”
