Here are the casting announcements in Chicago this week.

Be More Chill announced casting for its new production, running Apr. 17-Aug. 23. The Tony Award-nominated musical tells the atypical love story of a boy, a girl and the supercomputer inside the boy’s head guiding him every step of the way.

Stephen Brackett will direct and Chase Brock will choreograph.

The cast will feature: Jeremiah Alsop, Alex Goodrich, Rebecca Hurd, Teressa LaGamba, Michelle Lauto, Eben K. Logan, Liam Oh, Billy Rude and Koray Tarhan. The role of the Squip will be announced at a later date.

Definition Theater announced casting for James Ijames’s “White,” running Apr. 17-May 24. A painter expects his big break with a new contemporary art exhibition. When he’s told by the museum’s new curator that “white dudes” aren’t a part of New America, he enlists the help of a black actress.

Tasia A. Jones will direct a cast of: Martaisa Jones, Amira Danan, Niko Kourtis, Sarah Rachel Schol and Nick Shoda.

Drury Lane Theatre announced casting for “Evita,” running Apr. 10-June 14. The musical follows the life and story of Eva Perón’s controversial rise to power as the First Lady of Argentina.

Marcia Milgrom Dodge will direct and choreograph and Jo Ann Daugherty will music direct.

The Den Theatre announced casting for David Harrower’s “Blackbird,” running Mar. 21-Apr. 26. The play follows a 27 year-old woman visiting the middle aged man who sexuality abused her when she was twelve.

Lia Mortensen will direct a cast of: Haley Burgess ,Mark L. Montgomery and Autumn Hlava.

Broken Nose Theatre announced casting for Eric Reyes Loo’s “This is Only a Test,” running May 1-30. This world premiere follows a series of active shooter drills at a high school.

Toma Langston will direct a cast including: RjW Mays, Aria Szalai-Raymond, Zhanna Albertini, Trevor Bates, Shane Rhoades and Austyn Williamson. Understudies will include Tatyana Chante, Liz Coin, Jeremiah Davis, Tim Huggenberger, Toma Lynn Smith and Ben Weiss.

Raven Theatre announced casting for the world premiere of “Eden Prairie, 1971,” running May 7-June 21. Mat Smart’s play follows draft-dodger Pete on his way to deliver an important message to an old friend.

Henry Wishcamper will direct a cast of: Hayley Burgess, Curtis Edward Jackson and Emily Tate.

Mercury Theatre announced casting for “Priscilla Queen of the Desert,” running March 20-June 28. Adapted from the movie-musical, “The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert,” the staged version follows three drag queens on their adventures across the Australian Outback.

L. Walter Stearns will direct, Eugene Dizon will music direct and Breon Arzell will choreograph.

The cast will feature: Honey West, Josh Houghton, Parker Guidry, Averis I. Anderson, John Cardone, Shana Siap Dagny, Taylor DiTola, Dwayne Everett, Donica Lynn, Matthew Miles, Roy Samra and Jasmine Lacy Young.
