In a statement released Friday, sheriffs officials said Derrius L. Crenshaw, 26, of the 38000 block of North Harold Place, was taken into custody after members of the Special Investigations Group and Lake County Sheriff’s Warrants Team conducted a search warrant at Crenshaw’s residence.

“The search warrant resulted in locating over 70 grams of crack cocaine packaged for distribution,” the statement added. Crenshaw was subsequently charged with felony counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

According to the statement, Crenshaw remained in custody Friday pending an initial court hearing.
