He will be taking a hit for this.
A Tennessee man who appeared before a judge this week to discuss a weed possession charge filled the courtroom with smoke after lighting a marijuana cigarette during the hearing, authorities said.
“One of the craziest things I’ve seen,” Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan told local news station WTVF.
The pot-loving suspect, 20-year-old Spencer Boston, was approaching the bench Monday morning when he casually reached into his pocket, pulled a joint and brazenly lit it while talking about how marijuana should be legalized in the state, according to the CBS affiliate.
Boston was immediately led out of the room through a haze of smoke and booked into jail, the station reported.
He was charged with contempt of court, disorderly conduct and simple possession of drugs, Wilson County’s online jail records show.
