West (Det. Jimmy McNulty) played Lord Richard Croft in the reboot of “Tomb Raider.” He also stars in Showtime’s “The Affair.”
Pierce (Det. Bunk Moreland), played the father of now-royal Meghan Markle on “Suits.” Last year Pierce starred in the off-broadway play “Some Old Black Man.” In 2016, he played U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, opposite Kerry Washington’s Anita Hill, in HBO’s “Confirmation.”
Sohn (Det. Kima Greggs) plays a woman of the law — once again — as Capt. Betty Audrey in Netflix’s “Luke Cage.” Sohn, left, has a role in Showtime’s “The Chi,” a series about the South Side of Chicago. She examined Baltimore after the death of Freddie Gray as a director for the HBO documentary “Baltimore Rising.”
In addition to being named People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2018, Elba (Stringer Bell) has been staying busy on the big screen. He’s set to appear in the “Cats” movie this year, and has had roles in “The Mountain Between Us,” “Molly’s Game,” and “The Dark Tower.” He’s also known for starring in crime drama “Luther.”
Jordan (Wallace) has most recently starred as compelling villain Erik Killmonger in Marvel’s “Black Panther” (pictured here). He played Oscar Grant in 2013’s critically acclaimed “Fruitvale Station.” He was also in “Creed” and “Fantastic Four.”
Ransone (Ziggy Sobotka) is starring in the creepy clown sequel “It Chapter Two.” He also had a role in David Simon’s “Treme.”
Gillen (Mayor Tommy Carcetti) starred as the manipulative, scheming courtier Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” This year, he also played a role in the film “Maze Runner: The Death Cure.”
Williams (Omar) has stayed busy since the series ended, with roles in ABC’s docudrama miniseries “When We Rise,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Assassin’s Creed,” “12 Years a Slave,” “Inherent Vice,” “Ghostbusters,” “The Night Of” and more.
Felicia (“Snoop”) Pearson starred in 2014’s “Da Sweet Blood of Jesus” and had a role in Spike Lee’s “Chi-Raq” in 2015. In August 2011, Pearson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to sell heroin in Baltimore.
Royo (Bubbles) starred in “Hunter Gatherer” in 2016, and he plays Thirsty Rawlings on FOX’s “Empire.” He appeared in the 2013 film “The Spectacular Now” as Mr. Aster, in addition to making TV appearances on “Bob’s Burgers,” “NTSF:SD:SUV” and “Elementary.”
Harris (Avon Barksdale) had roles in BET’s miniseries “The New Edition Story” and “Blade Runner 2049” in 2017. He appeared in 2014 as Jay on the hit FX series “Justified.” He also had 2015 roles in “Creed” and “Ant-Man.”
Reddick (Cedric Daniels) had had roles in Amazon TV series “Corporate” and “Bosch.” He played Phillip Broyles on the FOX show “Fringe” from 2008 to 2013. The Baltimore native was also in “Castle,” and all three chapters of the “John Wick” series.
Peters (Det. Lester Freamon) most recently appeared in “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” which was nominated (but lost) for best picture at the Oscars. He appeared in “The Deuce,” an HBO series co-created by none other than David Simon. Peters also had roles in “True Detective,” “Treme” and “Jessica Jones.
Lombardozzi (“Herc”) most recently appeared in the TV series “Ray Donovan” and Starz’ “Power.” He’s had roles in TV series “MacGyver” and “Rosewood.” Lombardozzi played Agent Blasco in 2015’s “Bridge of Spies,” appeared in several episodes of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” in 2013 and played Big Ernie in 2014’s “The Gambler.”
Williams was featured in Netflix’s “The Punisher” and joined fellow “Wire” alum Domenick Lombardozzi in “Ray Donovan.” He also has a recurring role as a defense attorney on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.”
After doing a lengthy stint on “One Life to Live,” Faison (Ervin H. Burrell) appeared as Sugar Bates in the Cinemax series “Banshee,” about an ex-con passing himself off as a small-town sheriff. He’s also had roles on “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Good Wife” and “Luke Cage.”
Lovejoy (Asst. State’s Atty. Rhonda Pearlman) has been making appearances in TV series such as “Orange Is the New Black,” “American Horror Story,” “Girls” and “Shameless.” She has played Cynthia Panabaker on “The Blacklist” since 2016. Lovejoy also portrayed Debbie Regan in “The Post.”
Whitlock Jr. (Clay Davis) stars as Secretary of Defense George Maddox on HBO’s “Veep” and has been selling talking bobbleheads to fans of “The Wire” who want Clay Davis’ signature line on command. In addition to appearances in “She’s Gotta Have It,” “Survivor’s Remorse” and “Atlanta,” Whitlock voiced River Scott in “Cars 3.”
Coleman (Dennis “Cutty” Wise), left, wielded a hammer as Tyreese in AMC’s zombiefest series “The Walking Dead” from 2012 to 2015. He appears as Z on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Coleman also had a role on the History channel’s miniseries “Roots.”
True-Frost (Roland “Prez” Pryzbylewski) played Eliot Ness on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” and appeared in several episodes of David Simon’s “Treme.” Most recently, True-Frost made an appearance on NBC’s “Blindspot.”

Graham (State’s Attorney Rupert Bond), right, played the lead in the Center Stage production of “An Enemy of the People” in the fall of 2012 in Baltimore. He starred in the feature film “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and appeared on “Madam Secretary.”
Wisdom (Howard “Bunny” Colvin) plays Robert Ray Wisdom in TNT drama “The Alienist.” He also starred alongside Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere in ABC’s “Nashville” and played Gerald in FOX’s “Rosewood.”
Glover (Slim Charles), right, plays Leon in David Simon’s “The Deuce.” He also had a role in the feature film “12 Years a Slave” and appeared in another Baltimore-set production, 2012’s “LUV.”
Akinnagbe (Chris Partlow) also is in on “The Deuce” action, playing Larry Brown alongside some of his other “Wire” alums. Akinnagbe was in “Detroit” and “Independence Day: Resurgence.” He’s also had roles Showtime’s “Nurse Jackie” and FX’s “Damages.”
Wilds (Michael Lee) starred for several years on “90210” as Dixon Wilson. More recently, he played Deputy Joshua Beck in “Shots Fired.” Wilds — who’s been going by the name Mack Wilds — released his debut album, “New York: A Love Story,” in late 2013 and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
Cathey (Norman Wilson) died at the age of 59 in 2018. Cathey has had roles in “House of Cards,” “The Blacklist,” “The Good Wife,” HBO’s film “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” and more.
