On Wednesday, Shattered Globe Theatre announced its 2019-2020 season, including two Chicago premieres.

The season will open with the Chicago premiere of Deborah Zoe Laufer’s “Be Here Now” (Sept. 5-Oct. 19). Artistic director Sandy Shinner will direct a cast featuring: Deanna Reed Foster, Rebecca Jordan, Joe Wiens and Demetra Dee. This play centers on one woman’s quest for meaning in modern life.

Then, Wardell Julius Clark will direct the Chicago premiere of “Sheepdog” (Jan. 16-Feb. 29, 2020). Kevin Artigue’s script focuses in on the interracial relationship between two Cleveland police officers.

Shattered Globe Theatre’s season will close with Andrew Bovell’s “When The Rain Stops Falling” (Apr. 23-June 6, 2020). Elizabeth Margolius will direct this epic family saga spanning four generations and two continents.

All performances will take place at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave.
