Naper Settlement has been transformed into an 1864 Civil War encampment this weekend for the history museum’s annual Civil War Days.
Activities were held all day Saturday and resume again Sunday, with one of the highlights being the recreation of a battle between the North and South at 2:30 p.m.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and also includes a fashion show featuring 1860s garb, reenactors impersonating such famous figures as Harriet Tubman and Abraham Lincoln, a reading of the Gettysburg Address, food and Civil War-era items for sale. Naper Settlement is located at 523 S. Webster St. in Naperville. For more information, go to www.napersettlement.org/civilwardays
