Crayola Experience, the attraction devoted to crayons and imagination, has started giving away annual passes to teachers.
The attraction, operating at Florida Mall, is distributing certified teachers for grades pre-K through 12) a pass — without blockout dates. It will also be good for its locations in Easton, Pa.; Bloomington, Minn.; Plano, Texas; and, starting this summer, Chandler, Ariz.
“We believe creativity is an important part of childhood development, that it’s a skill which can be taught, and that it must be experienced,” said Chris Ozimek, general manager.
Crayola Experience features hands-on creative experiences, both virtual and through coloring plus a make-your-own crayon feature.
Annual passes normally are $29.99. Daily admission is $24.99 ($21.99 when purchased online).
Annual passholders — including the teachers — receive 20 percent off admission tickets for family and friends, 20 percent off food, beverages and merchandise and 10 percent off birthday parties.
