Some coffee shops have books or games to enjoy while you sip your favorite drink. Others, like the Orlando Cat Café, allow you to play with furry friends while having your croissant and macchiato.
Although the business has “Orlando” in its name, it’s actually in Clermont, about 40 minutes from downtown Orlando.
After grabbing a cup of Axum Coffee and a pastry or sandwich, you can bring your food and drink into the cat room for some feline fellowship.

Owner and concept creator Sandra Cagan got the idea after seeing a cat café on an evening newscast in December 2014.
“There’s a lot of stress in the world,” Cagan said. “This is a place where people can decompress, get away from the news, get away from their phones, and just hang out, drink a good cup of coffee and play with kitties.”
The cats come from the SPCA Florida and are adoptable.
