While Women’s March Chicago recently announced it won’t be organizing a march and rally this year, there are a number of events in Chicago and the suburbs Jan. 19.
Calendar of other related Chicago-area events
The Loop | 10 to 11:30 a.m.
An informal rally will be held at Federal Plaza, but no official march is planned.
Geneva | 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Beginning at the parking lots west of the Kane County Court House, the march heads three blocks down 3rd Street to around South Street.
East Garfield Park | 11 a.m.
The Women of the 7th Congressional District march will start at 345 Art Gallery.
New Lenox | Noon to 3 p.m.

The march begins near New Lenox Village Hall and will be followed by a rally. Organizers are collecting hygiene items for local shelters and for service providers who aid victims of domestic violence.
Rockford | Noon to 2 p.m.
The march will begin at Rockford City Market and march less than a mile to Davis Park.
Woodstock | 1 to 3 p.m.
Marchers will gather in Woodstock Square at the gazebo and march a third of a mile to the Sparrow’s Nest. Donations will go to homeless women and children in the community.
